Sky Run · effective 16 September 2026
Sky Run is a game made by Bendigo Games, an independent developer based in
Australia. This policy covers the Sky Run app for iPhone and Android
(com.chan.games.skyrun). Contact:
support@bendigogames.com.
The short version
Sky Run asks you for nothing. No account, no email address, no name, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
It does count anonymous play statistics — which courses are played, how long runs take, how far a run got before it was abandoned — so the courses can be tuned. Those describe the game being played, never who is playing it. You can switch them off in Settings: the PLAY STATS switch.
At a glance
The table scrolls sideways on a narrow screen.
| What | Leaves your phone? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous play events: a run started, finished (course, time, medal, whether it was a best, glider on or off, which rival) or was abandoned (how far it got) | Yes, unless you switch stats off | To see how the courses are actually played and improve them |
| Standard app-usage information the analytics service records: first open, session start and length, app version, phone model, operating-system version, language | Yes, unless you switch stats off | The same |
| A random app-instance identifier issued by the analytics service | Yes, with the events | So one install’s sessions can be counted as one; it is not your advertising identifier and it resets if you reinstall |
| An approximate location (country, sometimes region), derived by Google from a masked IP address | Yes, as part of analytics | To know roughly where players are; never precise, never from location services |
| Your best times, best speeds and the shape of your best run on each course; your settings; which tips you have seen; a short recording of your recent runs | No — kept on your phone | So your records, the ghost of your best run, and your settings survive closing the app |
| Name, email, contacts, photos, precise location, microphone, advertising identifier, purchase history, crash reports | Never collected at all. | |
Anonymous play statistics
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase. The events it sends are listed in the table above, and that list is complete: the game sends nothing you type (there is nowhere to type), nothing about other apps, and nothing about your contacts, photos or files.
No advertising identifier, and no tracking. The iPhone app is built with the version of the analytics library that has the advertising-identifier code removed, and on Android advertising-ID collection is disabled and the permission to read it is stripped from the app. Ad-personalisation signals are switched off on both. Nothing links the statistics to your name, your email, or an account — there is none — and nothing follows you to another app or website. That is why Sky Run never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt: there is nothing to ask permission for.
As with any request over the internet, your IP address is visible to Google’s servers while the app talks to them. The app never reads or stores it. Google masks it and derives a general location from it — country, sometimes region — and that approximate figure is all the developer ever sees. Sky Run never uses your phone’s location services and never asks for location permission.
Switching it off
Tap the title screen once to reach the course screen, then tap SETTINGS in its top-right corner. PLAY STATS switches between ON and OFF. Off is remembered, and while it is off the app sends no analytics at all. PRIVACY POLICY, on the same card, opens this page.
Statistics are on by default. The game plays identically either way.
What stays on your phone
Stored in the app’s own private storage on your phone, and never sent anywhere:
- your best time and best speed on every course, with each wing setting, and twenty split times from each best run (that is what draws the marker of your best run beside you),
- your settings — whether the hang glider is on, and whether stats are on,
- how many times you have started and finished each course, and how much time and distance you have run on it (that is what the RECORDS card shows),
- which of the in-game tips you have already been shown,
- how many runs you have finished, and whether the app has already asked you for a rating in this version,
- a recording of up to your last sixteen runs — when you pressed, and where the runner was — with the screen size and the browser-engine description of your phone. It is a design tool for tuning courses; in the store version it has no way off the phone, and it is overwritten as you play.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no cloud save, so there is nothing of yours anywhere else to delete.
Ratings
After a new personal best worth at least a silver medal, and only once you have finished a handful of runs, the app may ask the operating system to show its standard rating prompt, at most once per version. That prompt belongs to Apple or Google: whatever you choose in it goes to them under their policies, and the developer only ever sees the public ratings and reviews on the store.
Third parties
One: Google, which processes the anonymous statistics as the developer’s service provider under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. That data is held on Google’s servers, which may be outside your country and outside Australia. Nothing is shared with anyone else — no advertisers, no data brokers — and nothing is sold.
The app stores themselves — the Apple App Store and Google Play — may collect information about downloads under their own policies. The developer receives no personal information from either.
Opening this policy from inside the game opens it in your phone’s web browser. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics of its own; it is delivered by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees the IP address of a request in order to answer it.
How long it is kept
Google Analytics keeps event-level statistics for a limited period set in the app’s analytics configuration, no longer than fourteen months, after which only aggregate totals remain. What is stored on your phone lasts until you delete the app.
Security
Everything the app sends travels over HTTPS. There is no exception to App Transport Security on iOS and no cleartext traffic permitted on Android.
Children
Sky Run has no advertising, no purchases, no chat, no accounts, no leaderboard and no way for players to contact each other. It asks nobody, of any age, for personal information, and the only data that leaves the phone is the anonymous statistics described above, which can be switched off.
Your rights
Because the statistics are not linked to you, the developer cannot look up “your” data: there is no name, email or account to search by. What you can do yourself, immediately: switch stats off (nothing more is sent), or reinstall the app (the app-instance identifier is replaced, so new statistics cannot be connected to old ones).
For anything else — access, erasure, objection, a question — email support@bendigogames.com. A person reads it.
- GDPR: the statistics are processed on the basis of legitimate interests — improving the game — with the in-app switch as your objection, honoured instantly.
- California residents: Sky Run does not sell or share personal information, and never has.
- Complaints: you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or to your own data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date before the version of the app it describes is released. If advertising or anything else that collects data were ever added, this page would change first.
