Sky Run

Playing

How do I control the runner?

You never steer left or right — the runner runs on their own. The screen is split in two. Left side: hold to tuck and roll on the ground, or dive when you are in the air. Right side: tap to jump; hold to open the hang glider, then slide that thumb down to point the nose down and up to pull it up. Your first runs show you the basics as you need them.

When should I tuck?

Going downhill, and at high speed. Tucking keeps your speed but stops you pushing, so on a climb you want to stand up and run. The skill is the timing: tuck into the drop, stand for the climb, and dive so you land flush with the next slope.

The game feels slow.

A run starts slow on purpose, and speed is earned. Try one course a few times and use the downhills. The colour of the whole screen changes as you move up through the gears.

How do I pause?

The small plate in the top-right corner during a run. The clock stops while you are paused, and you get a short count before the run resumes. Leaving the app mid-run ends that run.

Can I turn the hang glider off?

Yes: pause, and the third row switches it (it is also in SETTINGS). Best times are kept separately for each setting, because a run with the glider and a run without are not the same race.

How do I change course or race a rival?

Tap the title screen to get to the course screen. Tap either side of the COURSE row to change course, and either side of the second row to choose a rival — ROOKIE, COURIER, ACE or THE GHOST — or none, for a plain time trial.

What are the medals?

Every course has four target times: bronze, silver, gold and author. They are shown on the results screen. Author times are set by a perfect line and are meant to be hard.

Your records

I lost my best times.

Records are kept only on your phone — there is no account and no cloud save — so deleting the app, or moving to a new phone without restoring a backup, removes them. We cannot recover them, because they were never anywhere else.

Sound and display

There is no sound.

Turn the volume up with the side buttons while the game is open; the game plays even with the ring/silent switch set to silent. If another app is playing audio, the game mixes with it rather than stopping it.

Can I play in portrait, or on iPad?

Sky Run is landscape only, and made for iPhone.

Privacy

What does the game collect?

Anonymous play statistics — courses, times, medals — and nothing that identifies you. No ads, no tracking. To switch them off, tap SETTINGS in the corner of the course screen and switch PLAY STATS off. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Everything else

How do I get a refund?

Sky Run is free. If you were charged for anything, purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I found a spot where I got stuck.

That should never happen — every course is checked so a runner pressing nothing can still finish. Please email the course name and roughly where, and it will be fixed.
