Privacy Policy

PLUMB

PLUMB collects no data about you. It has no account and no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting and no ads, and it never asks for your email, phone number, contacts, photos or location. Everything the game remembers is kept on your phone, and none of it is sent to us or to anyone else. The one thing it fetches from the internet is a public word list, described below, and that request carries nothing from the game.

This policy applies to PLUMB on iPhone, from version 1.0.0.

What stays on your phone

The game keeps these in its own private storage on your device. We cannot see them, and they are never transmitted:

Deleting the app deletes all of this. Your phone's own backup (iCloud or a computer backup) may include the app's files along with everything else it backs up; that is between your device and your Apple account, and we never see it.

The word list

So that player names can be checked for offensive words, PLUMB downloads a public list of words from our website (bendigogames.com/moderation/name-filter.json) when it starts. The request sends nothing from the game: no name, no score, no identifier. As with any web page, the website's host, Cloudflare, sees the connection's IP address in order to answer it. We do not use it to identify you, and if the download fails the game uses the list built into it.

Links, sharing and ratings

The Privacy, Support and Website links in Settings open in your phone's browser, which has its own privacy policy. The share button hands a short line of text about your run to your phone's share sheet; the game does not see where you send it. After a new personal best the game may ask the App Store to show its standard rating card; Apple decides whether it appears, and the game never sees whether or how you rated it.

Crash reports from Apple

PLUMB has no crash reporter of its own. If you have chosen, in your iPhone's settings, to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports for the app. That is Apple's system, run under Apple's privacy policy, and you can turn it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

What we do not do

Children

PLUMB collects no personal information from anyone, children included, so there is nothing for us to hold about a child. The player name is the only thing you can type, and it stays on the phone it was typed on.

Your choices and your rights

Data-protection laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data about you. PLUMB sends us none, so there is nothing on our side to access or delete. Everything the game holds is on your phone, and deleting the app removes it.

Changes to this policy

If a version of PLUMB changes what it collects (for example, an online leaderboard), this page is updated, with a new date, before that version is released.
