Common questions

There is no sound. Check that sound is on in the app's Settings, and that your phone's volume is up. On iPhone the app plays even with the silent switch on, like other music apps.

The tuner doesn't hear anything. It needs microphone permission. If you said no the first time, turn it on in your phone's Settings, under Pocket Theory. The rest of the app works without it.

Can I tune to something other than A = 440? Yes: the tuner's reference pitch goes from 430 to 450 Hz.

My saved pages disappeared. Saved pages and settings are stored on the device only, so deleting and reinstalling the app (or clearing this site's data, for the browser version) clears them. There is no account to restore from.

Does it need an internet connection? No. Every page is worked out on your phone. The browser version needs a connection the first time it loads; after that it works offline too.

Can I put the browser version on my home screen? Yes. Open the browser version, then use your browser's Share or menu button and choose Add to Home Screen.
