Playing

How do I play? Drag from a plane to the pad of its colour. The plane flies the line you drew and lands. Keep the routes apart, because two planes that touch is a crash. Settings → How to play replays the tutorial.

When does a shift end? After three crashes. Every 25th landing takes one crash back off the count, if you have one to lose. Traffic keeps getting busier the longer you last, with the occasional rush of arrivals.

How is the score worked out? Each landing is worth points for its aircraft type, times your multiplier. The multiplier climbs by one with each landing, up to ×5, and drops back to ×1 when you crash.

It feels too hard, or too easy. Pause the shift for two switches. Clear arrivals, on by default, keeps new planes from arriving across a route you have already drawn. Max planes caps how many can be in the air at once, from 4 to 20 or no limit (10 by default). Both take effect straight away and are remembered.

I left in the middle of a shift. The shift waits for you. The title screen offers RESUME, or NEW SHIFT to start again.

Leagues and leaderboards

How do the leagues work? Every shift adds to your Charge, and Charge moves you up the divisions (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, each in three steps) to the Tower at the top. You are ranked against a room of about a hundred players in your division. The Global and Charge leaderboards rank everyone.

How do I change my name? Settings → Player name. Up to 16 characters. Other players see it on the boards, so it goes through a word filter.

Someone's name is offensive. Report it from the leaderboard. Reports go to moderation, and no other player can see them.

Can I play without being on the leaderboards? Yes. Turn off Leagues in Settings, and the game stops sending your shifts and your name.

Does it need an internet connection? A shift plays without one. The leagues and leaderboards need a connection to update.

Your data

My stats disappeared. Career stats, bests and settings are stored on the phone only, so deleting the app deletes them. There is no account or cloud save to restore from. A reinstall also creates a new player number, so your old league entries stay under the old one.

Please delete my data. Email support@bendigogames.com with the player number from Settings, and we will delete your player record and every shift entry under it. The full details are in the privacy policy.

There is no sound. Check the phone's silent switch, then the Sound and Music switches in the game's Settings.

Are there ads or purchases? No. Approach is free, with no ads and nothing to buy.
